WRj - Level 2b - intro to cane - for those who have studied zills and veil with me
WHERE: DANCERS CORNER (WHITE RIVER JUNCTION)
TIME: 7:15 - 8:30 (75 minutes)
WHEN: WEDNESDAYS – january 14 - march 4 (8 weeks)
DESCRIPTION: This session will enable students to strengthen technique, improve skills with finger cymbals and veil, and also become familiar with how to use the assaya (cane). The "Intro to Cane" class will be the precursor to a class in the Spring where a cane choreography will be taught. After a very challenging ramp up to the show in the fall, no ongoing choreography will be taught during the winter, but there will be combinations. Students must own a veil and finger cymbals and bring them to each class. A cane will be ordered for you. PLEASE NOTE: ALL LEVEL 2 CLASSES REQUIRE INSTRUCTOR PERMISSION (BY EMAIL), EVEN IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED IN LEVEL 2 CLASSES IN THE PAST. Class requires a minimum of 12 students.
