DESCRIPTION:
This class is designed for new and returning intermediate students, as well as any advanced student who would like to work on veil technique and choreography. If you have not performed veil at the INTERMEDIATE level, this is the correct class for you during the Spring of 2022. Veil work is the best way to gain elegance as a dancer. It requires strong posture, flow and awareness of arms, which dancers need for any kind of performance at all. Veil is often the first (or second) prop that belly dancers learn to use. We will be working on a choreography during the class in order to nail down our learning. This class will be taught in person, it will also be broadcast live online, and high quality replays will be made available to everyone who is enrolled. Some class time will be devoted to online students since this class will probably be attended about 1/3 online. It is strongly suggested that local students show up in person. This is a required class in the intermediate level sequence (including multiple technique semesters, veil, cane and zills) prior to taking any intermediate or advanced classes during 2022. Please note that everyone who attends in person needs to be vaccinated. Masks are requied in person unless decided upon unanimously (and anonymously) by the class to not wear masks.

COST: $65 per month for three months beginning the day you register. The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 30, after which time the price goes up to $75 per month. Please note that we cannot offer refunds, discounts for missed classes (although we encourage make-ups for this class in Beginner classes), transfers of registration/credit to other students, or refunds due to instructor illness, weather rescheduling or power outages.
